Charlie was rescued March 2024 when a friend and neighbour visited a popular riverside restaurant. Despite a constant flow of customers enjoying the open air from bamboo tables, Charlie was so underweight it was obvious he was not being fed by the customers nor the restaurant owners. Charlie was noticed because of the mange that was destroying his skin and cause most of his hair to fall out. 

We began treating Charlie with the hope that he could be returned to his beautiful home, but it became clear the restaurant family would not care for him and the Monsoon season was just beginning. We decided Charlie would stay! 

Since his rescue Charlie has gained in weight, health, and strength, and has blossomed as a loving, social pup! Charlie has grown a mighty made of thick, black hair and he’s a pretty smart dog who is enjoying the stimulation of sanctuary life with some doggy pals. We’ll keep you posted on Charlie’s journey!
